How Running Feat can help you: Training plans, articles and presentations

06-03-2017

We have been running from a young age and have experience of club athletics all the way through to international level. Having been lucky enough to have worked with World Class coaches, medical teams and athletes, we love to share the knowledge we have gained and help other women get into the sport.

Coaching and training plans

Amy is a qualifed teacher and Leadership In Running Fitness coach and can offer a variety of training programmes with coaching support including:

  • A personalised, bespoke training programme to achieve your running goal around your lifestyle and commitments. We create programmes for all abilities and from 5k up to the marathon.
  • A complete training programme, sent every 4 weeks.
  • Telephone/Skype/Facetime communication each month, or if preferred every two weeks, to feedback on how your training is progressing and to provide coaching support.
  • Personalised coaching also means that we can discuss additional training needs such as the correct nutrition, fuelling, mental strategies, strength and conditioning and any other random questions you may have, however big or small e.g. which sports bra would you recommend? How can I come back to running after having a baby? How do I fit training into my busy schedule? How often should I change my trainers? Do I have different nutritional needs as a female athlete? We feel that interacting with our clients on a regular basis via phone calls or emails provides a more personal, and insightful approach, to ensuring that you can gain the most out of your training. Also we enjoy it as we form bonds with our athletes and feel a connection to their goals and accomplishments.
  • Running Training Days/ Presentations/Workshops: We can provide running training days, workshops and presentations that can be tailored for the needs of your company or event. It may be that you are a business who wish to enter a team in a marathon or half marathon and would like motivation and training support for your team or you're organising a race and looking for an ambassador to support those taking part. Training articles and tips can also be provided. A typical day might be a presentation and informal question and answer session, followed by a running session with our coaching support. Amy is currently working as an ambassador for the Stratford Half/Marathon and also assisting the Shakespeare Martineu Team with their preparations for this event.

Evening presentations/awards

If you would like one of us to come along to provide a motivational talk and to present prizes to club members or young athletes we would be more than happy to help. We love to celebrate running success and help to motivate others by sharing our stories and tips to achieve your running goals.

Young Athlete Mentoring

Many young athletes may have structured training from a local club but feel that they could benefit from some mentoring to assist them with their training. Both Amy and Lucy began competing age 11 and learnt how to balance running and competing with school life, exams and with the pressures that young athletes face. Amy has worked with young athletes on the Full Potential Young Athlete Summer Camps as a coach. She has also assisted young athletes who need help to control their nerves and to develop mental strategies for competitions and life in general. Amy has also provided assemblies at schools to help inspire children to achieve their dreams.
